How do I scan a contract?+

Navigate to any PDF contract in your browser — Paidly will automatically detect it and show a "Contract detected" notification in the side panel. Click "Scan This Contract" to extract client info, rates, milestones, and payment terms.

What file types does Paidly support?+

Paidly currently supports PDF contracts. You can scan PDFs from any website, Google Drive, or local files on your computer. DOCX and image support is coming soon.

How do I scan a local PDF file?+

Open the PDF in Chrome (drag it into the browser or use File > Open). Make sure "Allow access to file URLs" is enabled for Paidly in chrome://extensions. The extension will detect the PDF automatically.

How do I install the Chrome extension?+

Install Paidly from the Chrome Web Store, then sign in with your Paidly account. The extension adds a side panel that appears when you view a contract PDF.

What does the free plan include?+

The free trial includes 3 contract scans and 3 invoice sends so you can try the full workflow. After that, upgrade to Starter ($29/mo) for unlimited scans and invoices.

Can I download invoices as PDF?+

Yes! After creating an invoice, click "Download PDF" to save a professional invoice to your computer. You can also review and send invoices via email from the Paidly dashboard.

How does AI contract scanning work?+

Paidly uses Google Gemini AI to read your contract PDF and extract structured data: client name, rates, milestones, deliverables, payment terms, and more. The AI only processes the specific document you choose to scan.

Is my contract data secure?+

Yes. Contract data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We only process the specific PDF you choose to scan — we never read other browser data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

Go to Settings > Billing in your Paidly dashboard and click "Manage Subscription." You can cancel anytime and your account will remain active until the end of your billing period.
